Sex Swings for Curvy Girls

The one thing I get asked more than anything about sex swings is about the weight limits and if they are safe. Well the simple answer is that yes they are safe. If you were to look at sex swings part by part, most swings will hold a lot of weight and way more weight then even the weight ratings are set for.

The real question here should be, are sex swings comfortable for plus size people? This is an entirely different questions.

For plus size girls, when you are looking at a sex swings, you need to consider safety and comfort.

"Safety?" you ask, "I thought you just said they were strong".

Well sex swings are very strong, the weakness may be in your ceiling. When you screw a hook into your ceiling, there are a lot of things that can go wrong that you may not be aware of. What type of wood is in your ceiling? What size wood? When you screwed into it did you screw off center and cause the wood to split? The biggest danger in a sex swing is the point you mount the swing to.

To minimize this risk, I recommend that people only get dual hook sex swings. When you purchase a single hook sex swing, it comes with some type of a spreader bar. This  bar at the top of the swing weights in the range of 8 to 10 pounds. In the event of a hook failure, this bar can come crashing down on your head. With a dual hook swing, there is no bar over your head. If a hook should fail, the hook and chain will just fall to the ground next to you. yes you would have fallen, but you would not have gotten clobbered in the head.

Additionally, with a dual hook, the weight is divided between 2 hooks making the risk of a hook failure much less. With a single hook all the weight in on the one point.

As for comfort, the dual hook is great as well. Single hook swings have a set with based on the spreader bar. This is typically 14 to 20 inches wide. That is not very big if you have hips. When you sit in these narrow swings, the straps can put a lot of pressure on the sides of your hips and squeeze inward. This can make it uncomfortable after only a couple of minutes of use. With a dual hook swing, you can make them much wider such as 30 inches. This will reduce all of that pressure.

The one last thing I would recommend is that you search for a swing that has a wide seat. The narrower a seat, the more pressure as well. Swings with wide seats would be the Screamer Sex Swing or the Sportsheets Door Swing.

New Sex Swing Mounting System

The most popular post I have ever made on this blog is about hiding the hook on your swing. While there are a lot of great ideas in there, I have a new favorite. Screamer Sex Swings have created a new mounting system that uses a steel plate in your ceiling.

This ceiling plate has a few advantages and disadvantages. First, this place is mounted directly to the ceiling joist with 2 bolts. When doing this you can clearly see how well the mount is mounted and this greatly increases safety of your swing. The other thing it allows you to do is to remove the hook.

With a screw into wood, you can not remove the hook because each time you do, the hold is weakened significantly. With this mounting plate system, you can remove the hook and screw the included cover in its place. The cap is a small white disk that is about 2 inches wide and 3/8 inch tall. So it is very low profile. Then you can remove the cap and install the hook whenever you want to use your sex swing again.

So while this system does have the ability to be very hidden and stronger than most other mounts, it does have one draw back. To install this you need to have attic access above where you want to mount it. This means it would be difficult to install on the first floor of a 2 story home. But if you can use this option, it is by far the best option out there.

Dual Hook or Single Hook Sex Swing

I get asked a lot about single hook and dual hook swings. People always want to know which one is better and which one to go with. So here is a list of things to consider.

First of all, I would always go with the dual hook as the first option. I prefer the single hook only when it is very important to only have 1 hook in your ceiling. If you can have 2 hooks, go with the dual hook.

There are a few reasons that I love the dual hook swings. First, any time you use any sex swing, you always run the risk of a hook pulling out of the ceiling and everything crashing down. With a single hook swing you always have the 5 to 10 pound spreader bar above your head. If that one hook fails, it will hit you on the head! With a dual hook, if one hook should fail, you will still fall to the ground, but the hook and chain on the side that gave way should just fall to the ground next to you and help you avoid serious injury.

Along the same lines, I also prefer the dual hook sex swings because they have a higher weight limit. The weakest point in most sex swings is the actual screw in the ceiling. With a dual hook swing, you are dividing that weight across 2 hooks and therefor these swings can hold more weight.

The last important factor to me is the width. A single hook swing typically has a spreader bar that is 20 to 24 inches wide. This means that is as wide as your swing comes. So in some positions, the swing can feel very narrow and squeeze you, especially if you are carrying a few extra pounds.

With the dual hook swing, you can set the hooks further apart such as 36 inches. This makes the seat much wider and more comfortable. When you combine this with the 4 inch wide seat found on the Screamer Dual Hook Swing, these swings can be very comfortable and not like the old fashion narrow swings with 2 inch webbing that were often a very good idea, but not really comfortable enough to use.

So me personally, I really love the dual hook swings, but I do understand that not everyone can have 2 hooks in their ceiling. It is hard enough to explain to the in-laws why you have one hook, imagine having 2 hooks. So I can see the reason for the single hook as well. Plus there are a lot more of them on the market to choose from.

Hope this helps - leave me comments and let me know your thoughts on which type of swing you like.

Sex Swings Are Popular

OK - So I know that I love sex swings. That is after all why I started this blog in the first place. I started it because well... sex is one of the best things to talk about. Who knows. Maybe the day I first started this blog I had a few beers in me. I can not be sure.

What I can be sure about now is that I am not the only one that loves sex swings. In fact, I had forgot that this blog was even here. I have a lot of other blogs and such and a lot of what I do still deals with sex. But this blog has managed to be viewed 3523 times with only one single blog post on it.

So I got to thinking. Maybe people want more information on sex swing. So that is what I intend to do. I am going to try to post some more information on this blog as I find cool things and see if I can now make this blog worthy of your visit.

Now initially, I do not have anything great and masterful to say, but here is a quick video about how to make a sex swing if you do not want to spend the big bucks to go out and buy one yourself. This will only cost you the same as going to McDonalds a few times and I hope the experience in it is a whole lot better then MickyD's.

Hiding the sex swing hook during installation

Sex Swing Fun!!!!!
When people first consider purchasing a sex swing, the first common question that comes to mind is ofter where to put the hook. There are a lot of articles about how to install a sex swing hook, so I do not want to cover that here, this guild will help you in determining some places to put your hook so you can keep it hidden.

First, there's two major ways for the installation of your swing. You may screw the mounting hook into your ceiling and after that try to mask the hook to make it less obvious while you are not utilizing the swing, or get a free-standing swing stand.

The sex swing stands are a preferred choice for anyone who is in a rental property and can not attach into the ceiling, but they are not necessarily peoples favorite option. Swing stands are usually quite costly and bulky within your room. They also have setup and tear down time each time you want to use a swing. Affixing the swing hook in your ceiling makes it possible for faster swing usage but it is also very permanent.

If the installation of the hook in the ceiling, then everyone would like to know how you can disguise the hook. Last thing anyone wants is the neighbors coming over to your bedroom and finding the hook and get started with asking questions. There are a variety of excellent ways to hide the hook.

Door Frame installment is an extremely convenient option if you can work it into your home layout. In this method you'll mount the hook in the closet door frame where it will be concealed behind the doors while shut. The down side to this option is that you need a huge closet or at worst a lot of open area to be able to utilize the swing within the closet.

A smoke alarm can even act as a great hook cover. Simply remove the insides from a smoke detector and put it covering the swing hook. Some adjustments on the smoke detector housing may be needed such as cutting a larger whole in the bottom of the housing, but that is a quite simple route to disguise the hook. As a side note, many newer smoke alarms that you load the battery from the side do not have removable covers and may not be suitable for this particular installation.

The light fixture is a great place to disguise your hook if you desire it near the center of the room or over your bed. To do this you will want to install light fixture having a wide base. Take off the glass light cover and install the hook in the light bulb compartment. To disguise the hook while not having fun in the swing, just position the light cover back in place. When working near lights, be sure you don't screw into wiring or break light bulbs. Consult with a professional for help.

The final and most straightforward way for covering your hook is to try using your hook for hanging plants or baskets or another hanging objects. This is usually a very easy option, however, if installing a hook, you do not desire to install it too next to the walls or perhaps a corner of your because you won't have room to use your sex swing. When the hook is too far away from the wall, it may look unusual to have a hanging plant within the center of your room.

Each method for installing your sex swing has its pros and cons. Consider the choices carefully and enjoy your swing.
